Evaluations from forward have demonstrated the following: GRAD students in Tennessee and Ohio had significantly higher gains on state mathematics and literacy exams and graduation rates, fewer disciplinary actions, and lower mobility rates than comparable students in those states.

From there, GRAD began working in the high school feeder patterns offering educators, math and reading curriculum, and strict disciplinary practices [3] to 70 HISD schools.

True, the summer institutes and scholarship were instrumental in my educational growth, but the real impact came from the relationships of those that poured in to me and were a constant source of encouragement. The activities and summer events helped prepared me for school. Gabriel Figueroa, Knoxville Project GRAD has been an invaluable tool to my academic success, both before and during my collegiate career. The non-profit organization maintained a hundred employees during its peak. GRAD is an education reform nonprofit that works in collaboration with local school districts to ensure academic achievement from Pre K, successful completion of high school in four years, and college access for students in economically disadvantaged communities. Their work is beyond valuable with our students!
